Like many people, for me, 2020 was a year of change or perhaps, the year of 20:20 vision. After eighteen years living in central London, I decided to up sticks and go west, to Gloucestershire, for a fresh perspective on life and all it has to offer.  That change took me from a modern flat in the heart of town - near Borough Market - to an old cottage surrounded by green fields and drystone walls.  Just as the view from my window had changed, so too had the view inside: it was time to set about furnishing the place and to make it my home. 

 

I moved to an old estate workers cottage in the Cotswolds and whilst as a rented place, the house isn't mine forever, it doesn't mean it shouldn't be a home; if these past couple of years have shown us anything, it is the importance of making a house a home!  The first thing I needed was a sofa, but I didn't want to buy something for the sake of it - another piece of poorly made, disposable furniture.  I have long appreciated quality manufacture and strong design, but I was also on a budget and I needed it fast.  It turns out that these requirements don't sit easily with each other.  Furnishhh.com is the product of that search: I've done the hard work, so you don't have to.
